I am currently working on building all my custom effect’s and midi tool’s into more user friendly VST’s for OSX and Windows.

I have lots of crazy %&$! so keep checking back if these are the kind of tools you are looking for.

Since Vst’s made with Pluggo are no longer supported in “Ableton 8″ on Mac “OSX“, I am working on many new “Max For Live” Tools.

To be able to carry on producing my Wife-Lab Tools, I have now added a price of eight dollars. This is mainly because of the time spent making my own patches more user friendly (this is the part that takes most of my time) I hope this does not deter you from using them in your works. Beatwife.

FM TECHRE: FM Drum Synth VSTi, based on autechre style algorithm. >OSX Intel< >WIN< $8.00

WIFE SEQ FX: Glitch style FX sequencer. >OSX Intel< >WIN< $8.00

SAMPLE GUT: Real-time low latency recycling VST. With sample hold auto reverse. Also send out a midi note with each re-triggered step. >OSX Intel< >WIN< $8.00

MAIN BRAIN FREEZE: Realtime dual buffer FFT playback. Capture incoming sound and scan through it, or do it all in Real-time. Mix between two buffers. Stretch sounds without changing pitch. >OSX Intel< >WIN< $8.00

FUCHER FFT: Another Real-time FFT VST that I have attempted. Does not sound as smooth as “Main Brain Freeze” but has it’s uses. This thing is only tested by me and has many bugs for sure, so be prepared for some host crashes Windows Sampler Version Available! >OSX Intel< >WIN< $8.00

CONVWIFE: Convolve incoming audio. Useful for giving ambient sounds or synth sounds some rhythm that match your beats. >OSX Intel< >WIN<

PHERTZ FM SYNTH: Acid FM Synthesizer. >OSX Intel< >WIN<

Installation Information:

To use these VST Plugins, you must have Pluggo or Pluggo Runtime environments installed. Available [ here ] or [ here ]

Once “Pluggo” is installed you must copy the downloaded vst’s into the “pluggo” folder :

“vstplugins” directory ( for Windows users ).

“Plug-Ins/VST/Pluggo” ( for OSX users ).

Burnkane, the dubglitch breakbeaty trip hoppy alias of Beatwife, started only as a an experiment in sound design at a boathouse studio in the North East of Scotland. After producing acid and drum and bass for several years, Beatwife wanted to produce something new, and that is exactly what he achieved. Having all the time and space he wanted to indulge in audio and always being surrounded by inspirational, talented people, the world of Burnkane was born. Playing all kinds of bowed acoustic instruments and live microphone recordings produced through his custom effects, the output is ground breaking inspiration. Though relatively unknown compared with his Beatwife counterpart, Burnkane is quickly gaining ground. Not in the least due to his Planet Mu 12 inch that was released in september 2009. If anything, this record shows that Burnkane has mastered his own style of dubstep: it’s strange, eerie, narcotic and even poppy at times. Burnkane will take you on a journey you will never forget.

FM TECHRE: FM Drum Synth. With Kick, Hat, Snare and Synth. Based on autechre style algorithm.

SPECFREEZE WARP: Spectral analysis of incoming audio which is then displayed into a control which you can click and drag to play particular points within the buffer. Freeze WARP feature ( puts Ableton’s tempo to 20 then resets ). speed up and slow down audio without changing its pitch.

WIFE SEQ FX: Based on glitch by dblue (but nothing compared). A programmable fx sequencer that sync’s with its host’s beat count. WIFE SEQ MIDI: This device is included in the download. Control WIFE SEQ FX via midi.

BRAIN FREEZE: Freeze incoming sound.

KNOB TWIDDLER: Take control of 4 Ableton device parameters (Knobs) and randomly automate them to the host beat sync.

WIFE BEATBREAKER: Drop 4 midi files into the Beatbreaker and trigger from different points in the file and mix between the 4 files.
